Rabbi Berl Lazar was born on May 19, 1964 in the family of the Rabbi of Milan. Received a religious education in New York. He has a diploma of a rabbi with the title of a religious judge.
For the first time, Berl Lazar visited Russia in 1988. A year later, the leader of the Chabad-Lubavich movement, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, blessed him to work on the revival of Jewish religious life in the USSR. Since 1989, Berl Lazar lives in Moscow. In 1999 he was elected Chief Rabbi of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia.
Berl Lazar is one of the initiators of creating a business community that helps bring people together. He is the spiritual leader of the SOLOMON Jewish Business Club. help.
For services to the development of spiritual culture, Berl Lazar was awarded the Governmental Awards of the Russian Federation: the Order of Friendship and the Order for Services to the Fatherland, 4th degree.
Berl Lazar is fluent in five languages. He is married and has 13 children.
